Projects for Camp NaNoWriMo, April 2019

Well, there are just four days left until Camp NaNoWriMo for April 2019 begins!

As today is my last day off before the challenge begins, I spent this afternoon working on outlining the trio of stories I’ll be working on for Camp NaNo. Two of the stories are already in progress, as I started writing them in December after the main challenge ended. I was feeling inspired and spent the first half of December working on three stories at once, finishing one and leaving the others open for more chapters.

I’m happy to say that all three stories are now outlined and ready to be written in April. I’ve never written three stories at once as part of a NaNoWriMo project and I’m excited for the challenges it will bring (even if it means I have three sets of characters talking to each other in my head!).

Now that the stories are outlined, I’d like to share a little more about each of them with you before writing begins on Monday.

  1. Taken: A Stranger Things fanfiction: Taken will serve as a sequel to my Stranger Things story, Guilt, which I finished in December. Taken will follow Chris Byers, nephew of Joyce Byers and cousin of Jonathan and Will Byers, as he lives his life following the death of his parents during Guilt. While the first several chapters will show Chris living a somewhat ordinary life, the latter chapters will put him through quite an ordeal, one that will affect the entire Byers family.

    2. Loss, an IT fanfic: Loss centers on the characters Eddie and Richie from IT, otherwise known as Reddie. The two are reunited for the first time since Richie left for college two years earlier. Eddie decides to leave behind his life in Derry and move with Richie to New York. But before he does, tragedy strikes, causing Eddie to question the wisdom of his decision and what he truly wants in life.

    3. The Wedding, a The Fosters fanfic: John Adams Foster, who I’ve written as a character in The Fosters world since 2015, is preparing for his wedding. The trouble is, John has four brothers and can’t decide which brother he wants to make his best man for the wedding. Chapter One showed John’s bachelor party, while the remaining chapters will show him speaking to each of his brothers, his Moms, Stef and Lena and two surprise characters, in the days leading up to his wedding.

I’m excited to jump in to writing each of these three stories. I’m not sure which one I will start with and I have a feeling I’ll switch which story I’m working on as each day passes. Stay tuned for more!
